A Media Analyst is responsible for monitoring, collecting, and interpreting data related to the media coverage of a brand, company, or specific topic. The professional transforms performance metrics and key indicators into actionable insights, guiding partners in making strategic decisions. Core responsibilities include creating detailed reports, analysing media trends, and identifying communication opportunities. Additionally, the analyst works closely with internal and external teams to ensure accurate and relevant analyses that contribute to achieving defined objectives.
What are we looking for?
- Degree in Communication, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience in data analysis or media (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Mandatory proficiency in data analysis and media monitoring tools, such as Excel and Power BI.
- Knowledge of Spanish, preferred but not mandatory.
- Good understanding of written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
The role is defined, but not limited to, the following:
- Monitoring, collecting, and analyzing media data related to specific brands, companies, or topics.
- Interpreting media performance metrics (e.g., reach, favorability) to generate actionable insights.
- Creating detailed reports and presentations to support decision-making processes.
- Identifying emerging media trends and communication opportunities.
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure accurate and relevant analysis.
- Managing media databases and tools for tracking media coverage and performance.
- Providing recommendations for strategic media planning and communication.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and media monitoring platforms, particularly Excel and Power BI.
- Experience in interpreting and analyzing media performance metrics (reach, impact, engagement).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data and insights clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- Prior experience in media analysis or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
